A good iron?

My old iron had just stopped working and I'm planning to buy a new one.
Any advice on a good one up to £50 would be appreciated!

When we needed a new iron quickly and cheaply we got a tesco value one-they around £3.50 and are gaurenteed for a year! so you will get a least a years use.

I found it very light compared to my old Tefal one-but some people pefer that.

Anyway it may not be fancy but it does the job of an iron and thats all that matters.

(Is pink and doesn't say Value in big letters )

Go to your local Library, & look up the most recent test of Irons in Which? magazine. Select one of the 'Best Buys'. Buy it. Satisfaction guaranteed.

I'm expecting someone who is pleased with their iron to recommend ......I have no time going to the library.

I got one of those argus leaflets today and a fancy one is half price, however, I just got a cheap one from a supermarket and it works just fine.

Hi I got a Phillips GC4413 (elite i think) It is fab I got it for around £50 on offer from debenhams & cant believe how I struggled before - it is brill & even makes ironing enjoyable...lol :j
