Hi All,
I am trying to book flight tickets for 1 adult return to Brisbane from Northern Ireland at the start of September for 3 weeks; the best quote I have had thus far is £1009. Is this good value or does anyone recommend any particular flight companies?
Thanks in advance.

Seems quite good to me for the time of year/amount of notice - have you tried any of the specialist australia travel companies, e.g. Austravel? I've found it's better to phone as well rather than getting quotes online.0

£1k is a good price for this trip. You might save a few pennies going via SYD or MEL and connecting with Virgin Blue. Air Asia also run into BNE via KL. Always check Qatar Airway site before booking as their deals don't alway come up on other search engines. They are excellent o fly with.Timmay!0

Thanks all; at £1009 I'm probably not going to be able to afford to go unfortunately - I may have to postpone this trip for another year.0

Have to tried changing your days that you fly by couple of days?
I have no idea about from N.I But 3 years ago I went from Heathrow and flew to Perth, then onto melbourne,Chrischurch NZ,Sydney and then home from Brisbane and went in September booked in July, and It cost me less than what you been quoted.0 -
Tried flying from Dublin? UK and NI APD is now getting ridiculous.0

Trailfinders are pretty good. £800 here - you have to get to Heathrow from Belfast though.

You could also try STA travel - few years ago I got a round the world ticket (Belfast, London, Singapore, Sydney, Fiji, Los Angeles, New York, London, Belfast) for £12000 -
You may find more competetive prices if you fly to Paris or Amsterdam and then to Oz.0
