How can I find out what year a marriage took place ? we are talking earlier 1960's in Belfast. Not sure of exact year. But know which church they were married in ...
Dont need a copy of any records , just the date and year....

Personally, if it were me, I'd try to contact the church warden and in my most polite charming way just ask? If it's not too far perhaps visit in person but I'd imagine if you telephone they would help or point you in right direction.0

even in the 1960s most churches wouldnt have that many marriages per year .
the church should have a record ."Do not regret growing older, it's a privilege denied to many"0 -
What about the Public Record Office?0

I think you need the General Register Office. There is a public search facility where you can go in and search the registers. The contact number is 028 9151 3101
