Morrisons £5 Off £40 Spend - Sunday Mirror 17th July [Only 50p This Sunday]

When I called into Tesco this morning the SA was telling her friend to go and get a Sunday Mirror before putting her shopping through the till, so naturally I had to do the same and even loaned her a pair of scissors to cut out the voucher

Tried using my voucher today and the thick checkout manager said: "We only accept vouchers which have SPEND and SAVE written on them, so we can't accept this one because it says £5 off £40 spend, it does not say SAVE". Made a right kerfuffle and just about the whole checkout section was looking at me. Never been so embarrassged in my life. What a lot of tosh though! I told him that I would be contacting head office and asked for his name by which time he said: "We might be able to accept it if we try it". I told him that it was OK and that I would definitely be complaining about him. After him making a complete laughing stock of me, there is no chance I am taking it lying down!!

Anyone know what the email address is for the Head Office? I have contacted them previously and they did send me an email with all the various competitior vouchers they accept. I can't find the bloody email though. Errrr.

PS. Went into another store later, and the checkout manager there said "I am more than happy to put try and see if it works", and it did work. Bless his soul.

Yup. They had huge posters outside and inside stores last time Sunday newspapers did £5 off £40 spend Morrison and Asda vouchers. Makes complete sense to me. Poach sales from competitors.

don't suppose this was in southampton? if not then they obviously have dreamt they've read the same handbook because thats what i've been told when i tried to use the dove voucher, a sainsburys voucher and this mirror coupon. :mad: wouldn't take any of them

Huddersfield, West Yorkshire, so it was up North. The tool of a checkout manager said to me: "You use it at Morrisons and they will give you £5 off". God knows how he got to be a checkout manager. Sending customers off to rival stores. Errr"
