    I suppose it depends on how much the debts are, how much if anything you can afford to pay. Your other circumstances (eg if you are a homeowner of not).

    It might be worth getting some advice from one of the debt charities as to what they would recommend (if you did decide to tackle them) - if after you've had the advice you decide to chance carrying on ignoring them that wouldn't matter to the debt charity.

    Another possible option - what sort of accounts were the debts originally? eg cards, overdraft, loans etc? When were the accounts opened? Depending on the answers to these there might be a chance that you could explore if any of these are legally unenforceable in court.

    thanks for your advice tixy. you seem to know what youre talking about. it is a loan with a balance on 4495, and a credit card with a balance of 6823. theres also a current account with balance of 1837.
    Theres no way i can afford to pay these off.

    Have you done a statement of affairs ever? have you posted it on here for advice? Do you have other debts as well as these? are you behind or up to date with repayments on the other debts?

    might post up my soa but yes im up to date with everything else now. have been working hard on my credit rating for the past couple of years and was looking forward to 2013 when it would be perfect .

    im so tempted to ignore these, they cant be that bothered about collecting them if they havent bothered up to now
