Comensura

Anybody ever dealt with them before? Every big organisations where I live, seems to have comensura doing their recruitment for them but when you ask for help with agencies they have on their books, they won't help at all.

They won't - they are a clearing house. They are retained by (usually) larger employers to drive down the costs of temping (although I am sure that probably isn't stated anywhere officially). Agencies "compete" for contracts that they manage, so they don't have "agencies on their books" - any agency who wants to compete for the work they handle can register onto their system. Contracts they handle are non-negotiable - both the agency and the worker either agree the terms they are offering or not. They are used by most public sector agencies that I come across these days. I don't know a lot more than that - I have only come across them iperipherally, but always in the context of driving down costs.
  • So is the agency's mark up decided when they register with Comensura?
