I was at Tesco this morning and the shelves were looking rather bare in the Christmas aisle. Whilst I was browsing a staff member arrived with a trolley full of boxes and restocked the shelves with loads of cards.

There were still loads of Christmas china and many 3 for 2 gifts. There were three bottle stoppers reduced to £1.24, but with the three for two this was around 83p - great for the cheap red wine that I use for cooking and that I'm rarely tempted to finish off! Also good presents with a bottle of red.

There aren't too many men's or children's gifts, but there were plenty of vases, beaded box sets and similar for the ladies.

Lucky my store has a scanner as most items had no prices.

I got six luxury crackers (gifts include a pocket radio) for £3.74 and the luxury mini crackers at £1.04 for six. Tissue paper was 23p and gift bages were the same price (35p for one type).

A mini bottle of Harveys and a fruit cake is £3.00 from £6.00 and Jack Daniels Fudge (complete with JD tin) is £1.24.

Still loads of chocolates. The Carte D'Or thins are £3.27 to 82p and are OK until 2008. I have also developed a liking for the white chocolate coated raspberries that are 37p a bag. The coffee bean version and also the coated almonds are the same price. But these will have to be eaten by Feb 2007...I'd better get started.

I got some lovely glass beaded lights reduced from£15.99 to £3.99 in Tesco.

I had been watching them all Christmas waiting for them to get as Low as they can.

Yes, can confirm the chocolate coffee beans are very nice and the coated almonds are even better!! Have cleared out my local store and all the almonds have been eaten already . Went to a large Extra on Saturday and got the Lindt 60% dark filled chocolates, 4 balls to a packet, down to 19p!! Why did I only get 4 packs?? They are great!! Also got some lovely table decorations, boxed set for 4 settings in gold for £1.24. And in the toiletry aisle picked up some girlie friendship bead tins, they were down to only 73p each and 3 4 2. And in the same aisle got the Shimmer Sister body lotion, bath bubbles and shower gel for 37p each, also on 3 4 2. Should have split these transactions, did not realize how 3 4 2 would mean you get the cheapest free. Never mind, got some lovely bits and pieces for party bags, pressies etc for great prices. And paid with some coupons, so got it all even cheaper. Including some more free Nivea shower stuff. Thanks Mr T!!

I went to my local Tesco tonight and there was LOADS of xmas stuff with lots of money off

I brought:-

Pack of three vases reduced to £1.29
Pack of 8 shot glasses (for making my HM air freshener in!) £1.29
Glass Oil and Vinegar bottles £1.29

rang through as 3 for 2 - so all three came to less than £2.60!! bargain!

I also brought some tags for next years xmas pressies for 8p a pack and a 6 pack of that ribbon stuff for pressies for 23p a pack

well worth checking out as the woman behind the check out said that they had reduced things right down to get rid of them now and there was loads of xmas stuff to be had all on 3 for 2!

Check your receipt because in my store the shimmer sisters didnt not get a reduction at the checkout for the 3 4 2, straight to cs and full refund (and i had quite a lot!!!)

Just come back from TESCOS with this haul.
It seems all their gift sets have been further reduced, it was cheaper to buy deoderant shower gel etc in gift sets than individually off the shelves.
10 x Adidas full size shower gel/deodarant. £1.25 each (deodarant is usually more than this on its own) Cleared shelf sorry.
8 x Linx click body sprays and giant bottle of shower gel and drawstring rucksack £1.24 each. (Body spray is well over £2 even in costco) Cleared shelf sorry.
4 x Gillette locker room packs with shower gel, shaving gel and body spray £1.25 each Lots left

Also lots of girly/mummsy sets reduced.
The Gift sets that were in the large ceramic pots are now £2.25 each.
Also bought 3 table top wine corkscrew things at £1.99 each and they went through on 3 4 2, .

AT LEAST THIS YEAR WE WILL BE CLEAN AND HOPEFULLY FED FREE BY MR T

Hardly anything left now at doncaster...heard the Lady saying to her friend that everythings 1p next week...? Don't know how true it is and there's not a deal left anyway

Spotted them in Cardiff today it's the Nicky Clarke Salon Style set and comes in a vanity case original price quoted as £59.99 but stickered as original price £55 reduced to £27.50 but scanning at £13.74 work that one out.

Shoot that would be a good idea ! Name the shop ben you muppet TESCO
