Hi, this is the Daily Thread for Friday, 15th July. This is an “over the garden fence” type thread where we chat about everything Old Style and maybe a little bit more. It’s a great, inspiring and motivating thread we start each day to discuss what Old Style things we’re going to do today or what we’ve achieved already. Everyone’s welcome, please do come in, put your feet up (although check the fence hasn’t just been painted first!) and join us for an Old Style natter. The more the merrier!

As this is the Old Style Board, it would be appreciated if posts could include some Old Style content. Please be aware that many people may have small screens, or slow internet connections, so please don’t post large pictures, or clip art – links are preferred.

When you make a post, if you feel like giving it a title, that will help others that don’t have the time to read everything skim through the thread quickly but if not it's not a problem. Please do not start a new daily thread before you go to bed at night because this often leaves things confusing with two daily threads live at the same time. The idea is that a member would start each new daily thread after they get up in the morning.

Some people who chat here like to try to answer everyone. Don’t feel you have to though, a general “hi everyone, hope everyone’s well” type start does just as well.

Good morning everyone,
A beautiful, bright morning here. Well get the washing out in a minute as the forecast is good.
Am enjoying work at the moment which is slightly unusual at this time of year, with all the children having "end-of-term-itis" and leavers' plays, presentations and parties:)
Dinner tonight will be chicken & steak fajitas for the 8 of us.
We go on holiday in 25 days time - weyhey:) End of term in one week, then I shall focus on trying to get this place in order and thinking about meals for the holiday. I usually make some favourites to freeze and take with us so there's minimal cooking while we're away e.g. meatballs in tomato sauce, Thai chicken curry & steak 'n mushroom casserole. These all go well with salad if the weather's hot or pasta, rice or potatoes if it's not quite so clement.
Have a good Friday Peeps, with hugs to those who need or want,
Cheers m'dears, Silver x

Woo Hoo OH payday today so will be withdrawing money for my new housekeeping budget, off the DS2 school this morning to look at his work, then unsure really what lies ahead, need to go to the PO might go to the gym but if I go during the day then I have to pay £1 to park evenings are free, so roll on the school holidays and I will go at 7am for a free hours parking or might just have a scour of the CS, picked up a skirt yesterday old viyella one in red and yellow - the autumn colours that are coming in to the shops for £1 which is calf length so will be shortened better than the £30 the shops would want for one.
