Up S*%$ Creek, Waiting for my paddle

Hello Peeps,

I hope you are all coping!!! I am just lookng for inspiration.

I have applied for my DMP and hoping my creditors are going to come back to me agreeing that they will give me a bit of breathing space. I have an action plan as follows:

My DAS will hopefully get appoved within the next 3weeks, allowing me to pay off what I can afford per month after priorities, in theory this means if status quo I will be debt free in 10 yrs hahahahaha (ok slightly manic right now)....a long time I know but managable nevertheless and probably over less time when my children are in school and not costing so much in childcare. But as if by some luck of the gods I seem to have landed a sweet freelance job allowing me to on occasion double my income each month (though not guaranteed and not every month but for now a little light at the end of the tunnel).

I have done my SOA etc so all in black and white and skimmed back spending as much as poss. but If I make hay whilst the sun shines i can probably save about £500 a month. I am wondering as like I said it is not guaranteed if it is better to try to attempt to save 5k per year whils making agreed payments reducing some of my debt and then make an offer of F&F's when I get a lump sum.

I am really just wondering what your F&F experiences are and also your DMP/DAS experiences are. Ie what % you offer for F&F's and also what its like whilst surviving on need rather than wants for a prolonged period of time.

Thanks in advance for replies. I appreciate any info you are prepared to share.xxxxx
