Equifax credit report

Just looking at my Equifax credit report, it shows my credit cards with Barclays and Capital One, my o2 contract, plus my 2 overdrafts with HSBC and personal loan.

All in good shape apart from one 'late' payment on one of the overdrafts, does that stay on my report for 6 years and does it mean anything significant?

Also I still have a couple of outstanding payday loans, the interesting thing is they don't show on my report at all?!

Finally I was looking at some credit searches, do those just 'drop off' the report eventually? Again none for when I applied for the PDL which is interesting.

Thanks :)

I believe these go after one year.

    Thanks

I've also decided to view my Experian report, now on there are several 'Settled' PDL from Wonga even though I've had several of them in the past from various companies, do some PDL providers just not bother unless the loans default etc?

Some payday loans don't get permission to record your info. Some creditors (incl pdl) will only choose to report if there is anything negative.

Searches are mostly on for 1year (some certain ones stay on 2years) but mostly considered not to have too much of an impact after 9months or so.

Late repayment marker stays on for 3years, unless you settle the account before that 3years. If so it would then remain visible for the 6years following the settlement.

Are these relating to debt recovery?

I can't quite recall (or find) the info at the moment - I think it might be something like that. On callcredit I think all stay for 2years.
