okay so i got 24 month dolphin contract with orange and it ends september. i have been okay paying for it with savings in my bank, but now i literally have £9. i am a music student so a lot of the money went on transportation and equipment. i am in the middle of looking for a job with no luck as of yet.
my bill is due for payment in the next couple of days and i am stressing out because i dont know how to pay for it.
hope you can give me some advice!

Have you stopped studying? If not, does your university/college have any sort of hardship provision for students?0

As anyway that you can borrow the money as the contract ends in September and you can give you notice to end the contract next month.0

Yes i have stopped studying till the new term and i live surrounded by other students who are short on cash0

Any help available from parents/siblings? I know it's not fun to ask, but if you're really struggling.0 -
hi, hopefully i can be of help i actually work for orange. you have a number of options open and the collections team are usually quite helpful. the first thing you need to do is call 178 from your orange handset or 07973100178, choose option 2 to speak with someone. if you make an offer of payment this shows you are willing. You can get an outgoing call restriction applied so as not to run up further charges. Usually they will give a week to 2 weeks grace. If the bill is to high and going forward you wont be able to pay it you can get what is called a temporary disconnection done. This will mean you have no phone but at least the bill is not getting bigger. Basically the temporary disconnection puts the contract on hold and during this time if you need to have a mobile contact you could use a pay as you go sim card. The negative part of the temporary disconnection is you would still have to serve the remaining term of the contract when you get it switched back on.
The temporary disconnection can be done for upto 6 months which could allow for you to get back on your feet. The opther option is to go into a payment arrangement usually you would be on incoming calls only and with this you are still liable for whatever your monthly rental charge is.
hopefully this has helped, bext course of action though is to speak to them, there not monsters.0
