Tesco mobile in NI

Options
Anyone have tesco mobile? Hows the coverage in NI? I think it's powered by o2 so hopefully ok. Would save me £6/month as o2 won't price match!

As you say, Tesco Mobile uses O2's network so the coverage is good.

Yes, Tesco mobile use O2 network in Northern Ireland, anything i have heard is positive. Have a wee look at giffgaff before you decide.

Moved to Tesco Mobile from 3 back in November. O2 coverage for voice so voice is very good. Ive no real complaints at all with them.

O2 data is poor though so stuck with 3 for the dongle. Originally moved from O2 to 3 for the data option on dongle.
  • I have used Tesco mobile pay as you go with no problems at all. When applying make sure you go through topcashback, I did and got £5
  • Have had Tesco mobile for last 4 years. Ironically, it doesn't work in my local Tesco store.

No problems with service or reception (apart from areas where no mobile networks can be picked up).

Great deal where you top-up and they triple your credit.

    Would definitely recommend it.:)

I'd recommend it too, no problems so far that I can see.
  • I've been using them for a year, and have had no problems. I use the PAYG option, and by paying £10 for a top up, get £30 credit. The additional £20's worth gets used first, and expires after one month from the day of the top up, at which point you start eating into the original £10 top up. It's great, and means a £20 top up gets you £60 credit - great for a concentrated time away, like a holiday period. Costs per minute are high though - 25ppm on PAYG, but with the extra free credit it's not a problem. And yes, they use the full O2 network. Recommended.
