Hi This morning I watched some videos on youtube, BBC etc. All was fine. This evening I tried to watch something on Youtube only for the video to keep freezing. This isn't just on Youtube, it's on crimewatch etc.

Why is this? I thought maybe it's just Youtube but it's happening on Crimewatch and BBC etc. Thank you.

If it stops with a rotating circle then check the connection speed, which is likely to be lower in the evenings

    http://speedtest.net/

Firefox has net video hunter which would let you download the youtube ones, then they should not freeze

First guess is your internet speed. A lot of ISPs slow down (throttle) in the evenings due to contention ratio, peak times everybody online = not enough bandwidth etc

Test your speed at somewhere like speedtest.net

It's just so I know for the next time. I was getting frustrated trying to watch something on Channel 5 only for it to keep freezing every 2 seconds.

I had a feeling it might have something to do with the Internet speed.

    Thank you very much.

Doesn't work with all of them, but if you click pause while it is playing properly, then leave it for 10 minutes, you might be able to click play and it will be alright
