Arrrg just typed this whole thing out and stupid computer went and lost it!!:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:
Anyway here we go again. Sorry for the length of this post.
I'm looking for some help on behalf of OH.
He's currently working at a local theme park, not earning a fortune and it's getting him down. It's only a seasonal work, his last job was only seasonal in a tree top assault course. And he's struggling with finding a new job.
He's 22, got decent GCSE's, National Diploma in Animal Management.
Has been applying for loads of different jobs, shop work, office work, customer service etc.
He doesn't actually have experiance of working in an office but has better than average computer skills and is more than capable of filing, photocopying etc. Is probably more suited to outside work but has accepted that office work may be a necessity.
It's starting to get him down quite badly now. We want to get a place together and get married but can't afford to at the moment. And I think he's secretly jelouse becuase I earn more than him and he wants to do the traditional male thing of being the main breadwinner.
Applying for loads of jobs, online, looking in local paper etc but seem to be getting no where. I've re done his CV for him, his old one was very basic.
Anyone got reccomedations of what to do next, I don't like seeing him un happy and I'm fed up of living with his parents!!
Any help would be greatfully appreciated.
Thanks

Does he know what he'd like to do in an ideal world? Wherever you go these days, qualifications just aren't enough and work experience counts for so much more. If, for example, your OH wants to enter the world of animal management (I have no idea what this is lol!) then if I were him, I'd be writing to local vet surgeries, animal shelters, even the local airports or anywhere else he can think of to see if he can gain any paid or voluntary experience to do in his spare time.0
