Where the goods are faulty, take them back within 6 months and the shop has to prove they WERE NOT faulty when you bought them, therefore you can send the item away to check that the item was not faulty. It does not mean that the customer can DEMAND a refund.
I also say that go in with the right attitude and you get a lot more than going in with the attitude that a lot of ppl have.
As regards a change in the attitude of staff what most need are re-training or e refresher course. What they dont need is to be spoken to like something stepped in, they are after all doing a job that doesnt represent massive pay
