mbna help

hi been on a dmp with cccs since march but had my lbm in nov. At xmas i phoned mbna as i was unable to meet their full monthly payment and told them i was having financial difficulties. The guy i spoke to said that they would probably default my account after 6 months and sell it on. since i went to cccs they have accepted the reduced payments and stopped all interest and charges i owe 8500. Today i have recieved a default notice and a covering letter to say that if i can up my payments or get the account up to date they wont default me and if i phone i may get a reduction of the debt if i pay in full. ha ha i wish i could!!

so i guess that once the default gets put they will sell the debt on. My ? is who do mbna usually pass there debts on to and how difficult will it be to deal with them! im already dreading the calls and i dont even know if they are gonna sell it on. My oh is quite low at the moment and getting hassle again will start all the arguing again and the thought of that gets me feeling fed up.

sorry for going on but if any one has any dealings with mbna or there collectors would be really appreciated.:)

    Hi

Not sure who they'll sell it on to, and they may still decide not to yet if you are paying regularly (allbeit not the full amount).
But it shouldn't be too bad as you are in a DMP with CCCS. If the DCA does start phoning you (and telling them your CCCS number and hanging up doesn't work) then there is a template you can send to them to insist all future communication is in writing and that they cease all phone calls.

You have received a letter in a Experto Credite envelope (windrush House) stating Vardi of Ireland has purchased your debt? Experto are collectors (only ) for Vardi?

What is your dispute with MBNA? and what action have you taken, ( probably get offers of 50% off if pay by end of month an agreed amount later onafter they have been chasing you for quite sometime- so why not MBNA take you to court) No genuine CCA agreement??
Remember any genuine purchase of debts (cheap usually for pence) means non enforceable in a lot of cases. so debt collection agencies hope to make thousands of profit from you if you let them, Also any correspondence in writing DO NOT SPEAK TO THEM ON THE PHONE AS THEY are only paid to collect from you not sort things out for you!
