not true! you must register with the inland revenue within 3 months of setting up a business. You do not have to pay tax or NI unless you go above the threshold but if you are not registered within 3 months you can be fined. If you always do what you have always done, you will always get what you always got!0 -
You need to register with HM Revenue & Customs (Inland Revenue) with immediate effect even if you have just started out in business and not earnt a dime yet. I did it by visiting my local office and chatting to a helpful chap who put me in the right direction. So you don't waste lots of your own time you should also formulate a business plan, what it is you propose to do, how you are going to do it, who your target audience are, what it is you intend to offer as a service, how much it will cost, how you plan to make a profit from the business. Just jot it out on a notepad so you are clear about what you intend to do etc.0

Im already registered self employed because i do some private home help, (not enough to pay tax tho).
I done all the census searches for a friend as a xmas present , it took me about 1 hour to go thru all census and I got lucky on everyone which is nice.
I will offer a no result / no fee approach, so hopefully people will see theres nothing to loose. Too be honest Ive been suffering lately with anxiety so to work form home would be nice.
Thanks for all you ideas, as youve said nothing too loose ,which is great!
