Debt Collection Agency

I am being pursued by Roxburghe Debt collectors for a mobile phone bill. This is an account from 2003 that I cancelled when the phone was lost. At the time Three cancelled the contract and as far as I was aware that was the end of it. 6 years later in 2009 I received a letter from Roxburghe this was followed by a huge number of phone calls which still continue now. (Though months can pass with no calls but once calls start again they are constant) I paid £20 to them in January 2010, looking back I know I shouldn't have but I felt they were harassing me and with a young baby at the time I was desperate to get them off my back. The phone calls are continuing and I have also had a call from Graham Whyte solicitors. They are becoming increasingly menacing and are now threatening court action. As a matter of principal I'm not paying it as I was unaware of it for 6 years. Looking for advice as this has been going on for a year and a half now. Thank you.

If it was statute barred in 2010 before you made the £20 payment, then it is still statute barred now.
