You get what you pay for with knives (like most things)..If you want good knives then get Global or Sabatier...but just one knife will cost you more than this lot put together!...And remember keep your knives SHARP...blunt knives are more likely to cut you than sharp ones. This post was created in an area that may contain nuts!0

The set for £29.99 are at a GIVEAWAY price...and like tallica says you will NEVER have to buy another set of knives EVER....
EVEN BETTER..I just noticed that the first two are priced at £9.99 and £29.99 on the link, but when you click on the link on the Robert Dyas page the prices are shown as £7.00 (but out of stock..shame) and £19.99...even with £4.95 P+P GREAT VALUE
Even though I don't need them, they are TOO good to miss.:j

Yep it seems the ones priced at £29.99 (which apparently were £69.99) are now just £19.99 instore!0 -
I saw those Sabatiers in store. I think twenty quid is about all they are worth. Although they are full tang, they are fibre handles, very light, and springy.
I'm still saving for my Henckels, reckon on £250 for what I need, but they sharpen, and will last a lifetime, unlike a lot of the tat you see in the shopsMost people overlook opportunity as it comes dressed in overalls, and looks like hard work.0 -
I had those Sabatier in my last rented place & I wouldn't buy them myself. The black handle had cracked & the blade fell out on 2 of them when I was cutting hard veg.
It is much better to buy a knife which is made from 1 piece of metal as these are much stronger. I bought these from Amazon & they are excellent:

Master Class Acero
Or you can buy them individually if you only need 1 or 2 knives. It was £12 for a set of 3 of the most popular ones:
