Letter from Credit Solutions with 'generous offer'

Hi all,
I have received a letter from Credit Solutions Ltd about my 13500 barclaycard, asking for me to get in contact as they have a generous offer for me.
I guess this means a chance to full & final at a discount.
My father in law can help a bit and I was thinking of phoning and make an offer of 34% (4590) to F&F.
Naturally I wont pay anything until I have written confirmation from them of all the bits to close down the debt.
Does anyone know if Credit Solutions are Barclaycards own debt people or have they bought the debt? Just wondered so I can try and guess what they may accept.
Thanks for your help.

Credit Solutions Ltd are a separate company.
Also use the aliases power2contact and Cougar Financial.
They are most likely chasing on behalf of Barclaycard.Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB

Why start at 34%? Why not go in at 20% (or lower) and work up to a maximum ceiling of 34%?Original Mortgage Debt - £130,330.
Current Mortgage Debt - £116,605.
2010 O/Ps - £5,000. 2011 O/Ps - £1,978.42.
Original Loan Debt - £6,000. Current Loan Debt - £3,500.
Original HP Debt - £1,000. Current HP Debt - £240.0 -
pwer2contact is an awful trading name for them to be allowed to use.
Be nice if the OFT were in a position to come down on such bullying/scary sounding names.A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0 -
Hi
Do as Fermi as said write to them and ask for it all in writing you will still recieve lower offers if they dont own the debt and make sure they word the offer correctly you dont want to think you have paid them off only to find someone else chasing you for the other 9k0 -
I had two debts with Credit Solutions. I've just recently paid one off with them, leaving just the one.
On the whole, I've found them very useful and understanding. You'll probably find, that all correspondence will come through from "Credit Solutions", but, if you miss a payment etc, you'll get a letter, with the perforated edges from pwer2contact.
Make sure you get everything in writing. They did phone me once asking why I hadn't sent their payment in on this certain date. It wasn't until I pointed out to them that they didn't state a payment date, and that I had this in writing, they backed down.
Just something to be aware off.0
