Hi
I am about to take a company to court for not giving me my 2nd installment of cashback for my last mobile contract. They have said I sent in the wrong statement, although the one they said I should've sent is the wrong one......and they got confused thinking I had 3 cashback cheques to claim when it's actually 2. I did get a text saying they were processing the claim but then I heard nothing and now they're saying it's tough.
It's a clever sales pitch they give to entice you in the beginning as the headline figure for the monthly charge is low but it includes the cashback - but, to claim it, you have to have a good memory and send in copy invoices at certain times on the claim forms they send you at the beginning......plus you have to claim it within 28 days of the relevant invoice date. I read somewhere that a very low percentage of people actually claim their cashback which is great for the companies involved.
Has anyone else had this problem claiming money back? Surely, legally, you're entitled to the money regardless of how many rules they tell you....??

You're better off posting this on the 'Home, Work & Play > Telephones Board', however I would say that it appears from your quote:
...that you haven't abided by the T & C that you agreed to when you took the contract out in the beginning and I would therefore chalk it up to experience.but, to claim it, you have to have a good memory and send in copy invoices at certain times on the claim forms they send you at the beginning......plus you have to claim it within 28 days of the relevant invoice date.
People with more experience of the mobile phone CB system may have differing opinions or be able to help you further.0
