If a game has 'Xbox Live enabled' on the box, does it come with a 12 month subscription ? Or does it usually state in the item description '+ 12 month membership' ?

No 12 month membership is included unless it is a "starter kit". These come in a slightly bigger box which is distinguishable from a normal DVD-sized case.

If it is xbox live enabled, however, you will sometimes find a 2-month free trial in the pack.

The store was in Surrey - woking.

The 12 months is a full live starter kit...they also had Forza with 12 months free live subscription as well for 14.99. I imagine all the stores are selling off all their xbox stuff as the other new games machines come along eg Wii and PS3.

Picked up the Fifa 2005 starter kit today for 9.99 (their last one). There may be some still out there but they are likely to be few and far between.

Picked up some xbox 360 games from Toys R Us yesterday for £9.99 each but should have looked the the original xbox starter kits as the old xbox live codes work on the 360
