Evening all,
I've been a lurker on these boards since April '09 and it strikes me that pretty much the same situations arise time and again.
It is so sad that people (myself included) are not properly educated in finance before the event, rather than finding this brilliant forum after the event.
So many people unneccesarily terrified by DCA threats, or trying to consolidate debts rather than grasping the nettle and paying their debt down.
So, SO grateful for this forum and site as a whole - wish I'd been shown it at school!
Regards,
BiB

Hi,
I'd have to agree. I've learnt so mush just reading on here in the last few weeks and understand alot more about money generally. I wish we could have had some lessons at school about aprs credit cards and how to use them, overdrafts etc.
Rather than being scared and confused about money I am now feeling ready to get on, sort out payments and my finances properly.0 -
I think education in school would be the only way now, we're probably into a generation who's parents and even grandparents don't have a good grasp on money management
It is sad, I include myself in this category 0
