Claiming charges from Kensington Mortgages

Hi,
I currently have 2 mortgages, main with the Halifax and 2nd with Kensington. Last year the Kensington were in the news for overcharging and I see you could claim back the arrears fees. I just wanted to ask could I ask for my fee's back, I am currently in arrears will they agree and if they pay back the charges will they pay it off the arrears. Other posts I have read say don't upset your lender I really could do with the money but can't remortgage elsewhere. Is it worth a go to reclaim the heavy charges??

They are allowed to use repaid charges to offset the arrears.Other posts I have read say don't upset your lender I really could do with the money but can't remortgage elsewhere.
You wont upset the lender.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. Thanks, do I start with a letter or an email as I have read previously on here someone sent it all by email.
I'm not sure I have all the statements so will they charge me for getting copies?
So if I put in a claim they can't demand i pay my mortgage as i've upset them?
I don't mind if the money goes back to mortgage as it will reduce the balance.
Is it also worth trying the halifax to claim back charges?
thanks for the advice0
