Hurdler's Race to be Mortgage-Free

Exam tomorrow. I passed the mock, but then I always view mocks with a bit of suspicion.
My Local Govt knowledge was truly truly woeful!
And it's not payday yet!
I had the weirdest dream last night - that by broadband was being swapped today (it's supposed to be phone on 25th, BB on the 26th)... and the dream was just strange, trying to get hubs working etc.

Hiya Sepa - I think it went ok - I wrote loads for some and for others I had a nice line of politically based waffle. Not sure when we get the results but for now I feel happy that I will be able to remove a wage of PA notes from my folder.

Well... I got an email from BT confirming my service was being cut - but the home address they referred to... was... my OLD address!
Their ineptitude really knows no bounds!
In other more momentous news... some MAJOR changes at the client I work for... hopefully means less unrealistic dates for the project (and less unreasonable demands on people - i.e. drop everything and fly here, how DARE you put your life before the client)... and hopefully will makes things a little less fraught in the team (Sepa will know EXACTLY what I mean!)...
I already had a chat with my manager this morning where he sounded soooooo unbelievably relieved he almost sounded positive about what I had been working on (but give that a morning ... I'm sure that will change!!!)
Oh - and come payday (WHERE is my payslip... WHEN is Payday!) I have been looking at the Livescribe stuff ... think it might come in handy for a budding reporter?
So my treat (and also my prep for my placement) is to get me one of these!- Mortgage @ March 2008: £194,965 ; Lightbulb Moment: July 2011: £164,926; End Date: March 2033

Well payslip is here... and the tax office told me to expect a small adjustment IF they could upload the tax details from the payroll partner...
Suffice to say - I was being taxed an ASTRONOMICAL amount for benefits when I worked at my old company... so the adjustment is a bit of a shock.
If I knew then... sigh....
I should be able to make some significant overpayments over the next few months ... so hopefully on track to drop below £100K in about 2 months ... HOPEFULLLLLLLLY!- Mortgage @ March 2008: £194,965 ; Lightbulb Moment: July 2011: £164,926; End Date: March 2033

Well what a week it has been.
Exam, goings-on at work, new broadband and all the technical bobbins that entails!
I have been lax on the health and fitness front - so next week - normal service HAS to be resumed.
When I was calling O2 to make the switch from BT, the salesman got a bit carried away, offering me a free dongle for mobile broadband, which never arrived,
When I called them to ask where it was - they told me it wasn't part of the offer.
So I told them that it had been offered to me - they had to go back and listen to the recording, and sure enough he had promised it. So... they asked me to go buy one in store, and call them back to get the refund!!
If I recall rightly, it takes a couple of days for broadband services to settle down - my iPad and iPhone in particular seem to drop the wireless connection a lot and the PC is hard connected.
My netbook has a really weak signal (but then I did some reading up and that netbook in particular IS reknowned to have a very weak broadband card)
My gaming laptop had a full out signal - so I will test it out with the game I now rarely play sometime.
BT fleeced me almost £60 and I think they will still hit me for a final bill ... so I am REALLY looking forward to £20 bills or thereabouts within the next couple of months.
I am going to invest in this Livescribe pen - I think it will be my treat to myself ahead of my placement...
But of course this uber investment (the pen and the pads cost a load of dosh) is going to be done via TCB (already checked and their rates with PC World are just a little more than Quidco)
The managing agents for my flat have finally contacted me with the price for the new back door.
I have a little over £2000 in a savings account linked to the rent account, and I decided there is NO point in paying for it out of my own pocket if I can afford it to come out of that... Once that is done and we're in to February - I am going to send them a recorded mail delivery letter giving them 2 months notice that I will not be renewing my contract with them. Paying 15% for a managed service where they don't even have an out of hours call out service seems to be a rip-off to me... but I don't know if that's normal!
Must try and write up the last of my Public affairs notes (huzzah) and then consign all those notes to the £1.99 project folder I bought and hopefully forget about them.

WOOOOT! I don't know if Quidco have changed their policy now but you never used to get cashback from Play-trade sellers... but I took a chance on ordering all the livescribe stuff from TCB (and I was obvs using my Play.com Visa card to get double points to go towards vouchers)...
AND they have just credited my account with the tracking for it!
I am still to actually GET a payment from TCB yet - but give it time!- Mortgage @ March 2008: £194,965 ; Lightbulb Moment: July 2011: £164,926; End Date: March 2033
