receiving emails from jobs that I never applied for

I am currently receiving multiple emails from the same recruiter about a job that I never applied for, stating that I was unsuccessful. It comes from this email: HRPRD01@bt.com The company seems to be from BT but I am sure I never applied for BT as I keep a list of all the jobs I have applied for. The last time I applied for a job was back in January 2011. Does anyone know who the people are who are emailing me? I am sure its not BT. I have received many emails from them. Thanks

Does make me wonder if it's a scam email or phishing email - if you've not applied for it, just mark it as junk so it goes into the right filter.

Isn't @bt.com just a provider email, you know, like @aol.com, @hotmail.com etc? Therefore I'd spam it and ignore it.

I'd also say spam.

Have you uploaded your CV to any recruitment websites? You know the one's that allow you to create a profile and be searchable and so on.

Thank you all so much for your replies. I have taken your advice and spammed the email address. I have uploaded my CV online but have not made it searchable for recruiters to see. My CV is uploaded in Reed, jobsite and totaljobs.
