Can I work from home?

Hi All

Just a quickie but does anyone have any advise on which companies employ people to work from home. I've had a quick google about and all I can find is silly things like stuffing envelopes.

I there anything Customer Service based that you can think of?

As long as you have a PC, headset and a reasonable internet connection there are several companies that offer home based telephony roles, you will need to install their VOIP (telephony) software on your computer and then during your "shifts" they push calls to your computer.... most is basic message taking or giving out alternative telephone numbers.

In short no as the ones I know of are selling those magic carpets or building things for the war if you know what I mean. I Would just do ebay from home or turn self employed and start your own business.

You could have a go at internet marketing working for yourself. https://www.challenge.co teach a free course every year and this year's is due to start soon. They use it as a hook to get you into their subscription sites but there's no pressure and the training is up to date. The drawback is, it takes quite a while before one earns enough money to replace a regular job.

There are some companies that offer home based work. Like from a secretary to a virtual assistant. You can try to search also in the internet about companies that are hiring your desired home based position.

You've got to have all the required communications also so that you can keep in touch with them from time to time. And that includes internet, Computer, Phone etc. Some companies also have conference meeting using VOIP or some used conference calls via skype.

Some call centres have homeworkers. Homeserve introduced it in around 2007 as a trial and when i left it was pretty successful and they're probably not the only one that does it.
