As I understand it, the magazines being sold on market stalls mentioned above are not secondhand but brand new and appear as soon as the new editions are published. This certainly is the case with the Rotherham stall.
There is also a stall on Worksop's Wednesday market near the top end of town.

Some of the ones on the Gravesend stall can be quite old and quite a few come from American and Australia. It doesn't matter to me how old a patchwork magazine or craft magazine is and I like being able to buy magazines I wouldn't normally be able to buy. Someone looking for very recent magazines might be disappointed though, although there is a huge selection to choose from some of them might be newer than the ones I have seen.
I think putting the past magazines on freecycle is an excellent idea and if I didn't already have someone I give mine too, I think I would start doing that too.0 -
Pitsea in Essex has a stall and there was an even better one at Basildon Market but haven't seen it recently. I'd like to know how you can buy these in bulk to resell -- anybody know?0
