Egg F&F settlements

Has anyone had success with getting Egg (defaulted credit card) to accept a full & final settlement payment?

Thanks

I've offered 40% but no reply yet. Most creditors are not accepting though. That is why I started low :o

Is it still Egg or is it BarclayCard now (after the talkeover). Perhaps it might be better to wait until that is done and dusted - Although I'm hoping to start making offers to them shortly (I'll start at 20% and work up by 5% a time) so will be watching with interest.

I'm not sure about dealing with them directly, but I had a settlement figure of 20% accepted for an Egg loan, so you may be better waiting until it goes to a dca. If it's a recent debt and less than 1 year old, they'll be unlikely to accept much less than 80% as a settlement figure, but the older it gets, the more this figure drops.
If you've nothing decent to say, perhaps you shouldn't say anything.

Hi i had an Egg debt and they accepted a f & f settlememt of 50%.
Knowing what i know now, i would start negociating at 10%.

    Good luck
Reading the stories and advice on here has given me the strength to see the light at the end of the tunnel, and that light will shine bright in......
2013, the year i will be debt free and also default free!! ((I will never have a credit card again :D ))
  • DCA dealing with my Egg credit card was ARC, and they have offered me a short settlement, after I sent out full and final settlement offers. Anyone know what a short settlement is?
