baliff from the future?

hi everyone , my mums had the baliff round today at 7 am for counsel arrears a company called swift , she was given two "amount due" notices first one dated 13th 07 2011 amount due £275 then a second one saying i visited 18/7/2011 amount due £350.52 now is that legal as ..well he hasn't visited then , obviously lol also it says on the letters a further 18 pound in respect of cost has been added but that looks abit more then 18 pound infact its £75.72p :mad:

    Send them a photograph of a cheque post-dated for 10 years in the future....

    Seriously, I'd be writing to them pointing out the discrepancy in the dates. I know that most will say not to phone, but really, if they are up to this sort of stuff this early, I'd have a manager looking into it asap. A letter which will arrive after the notice wont have the same impact as an immediate phonecall pointing out that it's actually the 13th today and that they cant just add money on indescriminantly for phantom visits that havnt happened yet.

    :rotfl: id love to do that cheers for the advise , ill try and get her to ring them up and have a moan he said he would be back and i was going to go have a word outside but he hasn't come back

    turns out they were seperate bills but the boss dont know why he has wrote that he has visited on the 18th said he will ring back
