Cheap Consoles

I have been looking to buy an Xbox with a kinect for a while and came across an american site, overstock.com that is a amazon alternative that now ships to the UK. Most of their consoles are priced normally but a few are VERY cheap, in fact, seems to good to be true! £18.24 for a Xbox 250gb with kinect that retails at £260 in this country. Other deals seem very cheap too on the Ps3 and Wii. Am I right in thinking as its the price displayed they have to honour it?
I know there will be a few hiccups i.e power transformer needed and compatibility of games etc but just want to know if this is a bargain.

No, they don't have to honour it...If it looks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, we have at least to consider the possibility that we have a small aquatic bird of the family anatidae on our hands

I spoke to the site, they are genuine, the console sells for $399 on their US site, it appears an error between the US site converting the price to GBP, they are now finding out from "SENIOR REPS" if they will agree the sale or not! Not sure on US consumer law so just sitting with fingers crossed but not expecting anything!0

It'll hardly be "a few hiccups", the huge majority of Xbox games are region locked. You'll have to import nearly every game.
By the way this is nothing to do with price conversion, Americans are having similarly incorrect prices.0 -

My understanding is in the States if a store advertises something at a price, they *have* to sell it at that price. I got several small deals that way, nothing as big as this. There are also several websites that show you which 360 games are compatible with machines from other countries -- many are, but you will find yourself having to order some from overseas. Let us know how it works out! And I ordered from overstock.com while in the States, they are legit (but I didn't get a glitch, lol).0 -

Oh and don't forget to add on VAT and import tax...If it looks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, we have at least to consider the possibility that we have a small aquatic bird of the family anatidae on our hands

I recently bought an Xbox 360 250GB with a Kinect controller for £250 from Amazon and having done a bit of research found that was about the best price you could get for that bundle. The 250GB Xbox alone seemed to hover around £180, so anything better than that and you are doing well.0
