Hi, I want to buy a Canon Ixus 60 or 65 digi cam for my girlfriend.

The best price I can find is £159 (60) and £169 (65) on amazon which is £151.05 and £160.55 after the 5% student discount is taken off.

Does anyone know if and where I could get it cheaper from?

    There is a link somewhere on here about Jessops matching a price and taking an extra 10% off so that moght be something you want to check out.

    CAn I ask How do Amazon ask you to prove you are a student ? I am a student but didnt know you could get a discount from them. I bought the 65 from them just before christmas

    You can only get the discount off amazon if you have an NUS Extra card. YOu have to register your card online here and then they give you a discount code.

    Can you also tell me how many fotos you can take with the 65 on one charge? I have the ixus 50 and can get around 250 fotos with the screen and flash on.

    Sorry cant tell you about number of photos because asyet not had a lot of time you use the camera.
