Hi I think mencap may be able to help and have a really good website with lots of info, the problem with carpentry etc is that apprentices have to go to college to do the levels 1 2 and 3 I hope you find something for him, best wishes0

Yes, he's autistic but more than able to follow instructions. He enjoys repetitive work and just wants to be 'doing something useful'.
He reads/writes ok and would need close supervision until he felt confident in doing the job; perhaps a supervisor who can keep him 'on task' and focussed.
