bus from ferry toll park and ride to Rosyth Dockyard

I am going on a cruise and in the best of moneysaving I can get a free bus to ferry toll park and ride, over 60's bus pass, from my home.

A complimentary bus runs from Inverkeithing railway station to the cruise ship berth, does it go via the ferry toll park and ride car park and if so will I be able to get picked up there?

I doubt it - best to ask the people who run it, I doubt the info is online as it's presumably aimed specifically at people on your cruise. But if you're coming from somewhere in Fife a lot of the buses to the P&R stop at Inverkeithing station just before that, it's only really the buses that run straight down the M90 that don't.

There are buses from Ferrytoll to Inverkeithing, but if you are carrying heavy luggage, look for ones that mention going to the rail station.

Check out the times of the 747 Edinburgh airport service, it runs every 20 minutes and includes the journey from Ferrytoll to Inverkeithing rail station.

Just a note, but if you could drive to Ferrytoll Park and Ride, you can park there free for as many days as you want. They have an area for long term parking and it's just a matter of signing your car in at the bus desk.

    Is that secure(ish)?

My car is only 3 months old and I get anxious parking it in Tesco:eek:
It already has a scratch on it  from a trolly.

That would be better than getting a bus, it is only half an hour drive from my home by car.

Just went to the ferry toll website and parking is 7 nights max, I would need to park from Thursday to Saturday 10 days.

I sent then an email asking about that and they replied that they were getting near to capacity with some people parking for 2 or 3 weeks so that is why they brought in that policy.

I just wonder what would happen if I said I was parking for 7 days then when I got back and said I was delayed for 3 days abroad, what could they do?

My wife is moaning that I am being a cheapskate wanting to take the bus because it is free. It is her that is wanting to take the car. After all we are going on holiday, says she.

Broxden roundabout to ferry toll 35 minutes, then a bus to Rosyth dock all for free or take the car and spend £8 a day parking at Rosyth dock.

Yes but £8 a day for parking isn't very moneysaving is it?
