Anyone have any recommendations for a new double mattress for a back sufferer?
It seems med-firm is the way to go and memory foam seem to get mixed reviews with a 'topper' more often than not seems to be preferred.
I've got lots of Tesco vouchers so MFI is an option if they have any decent ones?
Many thanks

A memory-foam topper on top of a firm mattress has done wonders for my back.Touch my food ... Feel my fork!0

Cannot recommend THIS enough. GF used to suffer with terrible lower back pain, as soon as she moved in and started sleeping permanently on my one of these matresses her back pain is almost completely gone.0

Toppers are a cheap alternative, but not as good as a mattress with the memory foam built in.
We recently sold one to an osteopath. So we asked their professional opinion on the best type of mattress for back support. They told us that most of their profession recommends a combination of pocket sprung and memory foam. They also went on to say that if you can't afford pocket sprung with memory foam, then the next best option is just pocket sprung, and that they are far superior to latex (or reflex) foam and memory foam mattresses that seem to be the most common memory foam mattresses on the market.
But i'm afraid we don't take Tesco vouchers.0 -

I used to get awful back pain and rarely slept for more than a few hours. Since I got a memory foam mattress I sleep straight through the night, it's fantastic. Mine is from Komfi (much cheaper than Tempur) but I think just as good.
https://www.komfi.comI let my mind wander and it never came back!0
