Your low salary and temporary contract mean that you won't get a mortgage. A couple of years ago maybe but definately not right now. Hopefully, your 22k will be ok but, next time, speak with a mortgage advisor before putting offers in. You have, I'm afraid to say, been foolish in signing any document before having a mortgage agreed in principal.

My partner can chip in and she earns 24k , any advise?
Wat is the norm multiple of salary? X4 or x5

make an appointment with a mortgage advisor and make sure that your relationship is 100% solid before making a huge financial committment.

'chipping in' is not the right attitude to have when purchasing a house. It reads as though she is doing you a favour when, in fact, she will become a co owner of the property.

When you say 'chip in', will she then be buying the property with you and being a joint applicant on the mortgage?
Would've been helpful if you'd said about this to begin with.

Why didn't you say about the joint income to begin with?

is it not suffecient that I have said it now?

It makes you look a bit disorganised.

Did you think any of this through before you handed the deposit over?

And no, an appointment does not mean you've got the mortgage. It just means you can apply and they might try to sell you some insurance/credit card/savings account etc.

I wasn't having a go but you made out in your original post it was just you, hence the replies about your income. and the fact you had an application in progress.
So basically after all of this your question is will you be accepted by the lender you've applied to with a joint income?
No point speculating on that I'm afraid
