Head spinning Full and final settlement dmp

Hi guys Ive posted a couple of times and am getting so confused by mt creditors and my 3rd party(payplan)

So i told payplan a figure I could use to clear the debts and the creditors seemingly have accepted a figure of £2000 more intotal than which i can afford. Anyway all the creditors apart from one are adamant they will only acknowledge me in writing with placing a partially setled marker on my credit file, but payplan are suggesting and the national debt helpline that this will remain on my credit file for 6 years from the time the debt has been shown as partially settled. However equifax website/some creditors and a kind person on here suggested that due to me having defaults that the debt will be removed from my credit file 6 years after the default date.

So due to me being only a few years from my default date expiry will it be ok for my account to show as partial setlement as long as they or no others pursue any remaining debt and will these be cleared from the credit file and they in writing show that it is full and final settlement. Im so confused.

I will personally offer a small reward :j to anybody who can clarify this situation

    No need for small reward...

How long will information stay on my Credit File?

(Six years from the date the account was settled, written off or defaulted – whichever happened first)

In your situation, I wouldn't worry about the 'partial settlement' mark, as that's what the ICO suggest is correct anyway. But, as you say, you need it in writing that neither they nor others will pursue any debt and the balance will be written to zero on the credit file. Ideally you want it in writing that it is a full and final settlement, but if they want to use a phrase that adds up to same that's OK. As long as it would stand up to scrutiny if any stupid debt collector picked up the debt at some point in the future.
