Help with loan debt.

Hi I took out a Black Horse loan of £5,000 in 2004, due to my licence being revoked as a result of head injury.
I had payment protection on it. I got laid off in 2008 and Black Horse refused to acknowledge that i had taken out payment protection, so my loan interest kept going up as I was unable to pay off the monthly payment.
I have seen the CAB on a number of occasions with no help what so ever, I have been intouch with Black Horse and pay £34.00 a month as that is all I can afford as well as live. I am black listed so I can not take a loan out with my bank to help me pay this off and put my interest rate down to a smaller apr.
Can anyone help or advise me.
