Has anyone please seen these for sale cheaper

On Friday a friend of mine showed me some mini cupcakes she had made and put toppings on. They looked amazing. She is a pampered chef sales person and used a pampered chef product

the same as that link to ice the cupcakes. Does anyone please know if these can be bough elsewhere only cheaper. I realise it wont be the pampered chef brand any more generic. I did get really excited about treating myself to a new toy but didnt think theyw ould cost that much.

Is it just the plastic tube part that you're sold on? You could just use a standard piping bag and nozzles? I'm guessing you already have those though and want to upgrade.

Whatever you do don't try the syringe type one from wilkos, it's really pants!

It's a cake-icing gadget with several different nozzles. With a Buy-It-Now at SEVENTEEN POUNDS AND TWENTY-FIVE PENCE plus nearly three quid for postage.

I bet one of those on-line cake-decorating sites like the CakeCraftShop might be cheaper.

Edit: Yes, they do. I can see one on there for less than £8

Actually I was being a little sarcastic Crumblepie. Forgive me. I just hate Americanisms slipping into our language.

A fairy cake!! Have you tried Lakeland? I agree actually I hate the use of cup cake now i think about it and always call them fairy cakes.
I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.

Lakeland have a similar Tala icing kit in the sale for £12.99.

And of course the beauty of Lakeland is if you try it and don't like it you can return it and get your money back.

GlynD - don't worry I agree with you. How some places get away with what they charge for a posh fairy cake/bun is mind boggling to me.
