Hi All, Just wondering if it's worth taking the plunge and buying a suite in the sales compared to other times of year, been checking out Land of Leather but not having bought a new suite before don't know if they are genuine bargains or just hype!!!! Any ideas anyone??? Cheers....

Avoid Land Of Leather like hell! I went there yesterday and found the sofas we wanted. Came home to do a bit of research on their quality and delivery etc and there is loads of websites with stories of the sheer hell people went through trying to get their sofas delivered. Also the quality is that much cop either. Avoid if poss. [/2p]

we want a high back suite with a three seater 2 metres wide or less, like our existing one. Any ideas? All the ones we have looked at are too wide or have "fashionable" low backs.

john long is good, and if u need a piece before yours is made usualy 3/4 weeeks they will lend you a piece,

If you buy anything, just make sure you pay for it on a credit card. Then if they go bust, don't deliver or the goods are c**p, you have a way to get you money back !

We bought our £1000 sofa cash, in Jan 2004 we moved house in April 2004 and it arrived the week after so was perfect for us. We did have a problem with one of the arms but we phoned up and told them and they sent someone out to fix it asap never had any problems since.

I bought 2 sofa's from sofasofa (the Madrid range)about 8 years ago for about £600(?). They came with an extra set of loose covers, which I just though 'ok' at the time. I've moved 4 times in that time and they've seen some action (ex- boyf had 3 teenage kids and a HUGE dog).
Since I moved away from him, the extra set of covers has given the settees a new lease of life, cos they are basically still very sound and have loads of life left in them. I even remember delivery - the company delivers direct from wales and they turned up within about 5 minutes of the allotted slot, having rang twice en-route to reassure me.
I would definately buy from them again. 10 out of 10.

Have a look on the Tesco direct site because at the moment there is a code going around for double clubcard points,The suite I've been looking at would get me 2248 clubcard points(worth £90 in deals)
