Typo ...bother not both!!! whoops
Hi,
I am hoping someone has been in this position and could shed some light.
I got a call today from my Mother, she recently took some advice of mine and got a credit report as she couldn't get credit, I also told them to register on the electoral roll! They have two defaults on the account dating back from 2008!
One account is for £396
One is for £1111.
Today FIFTEEN letters fell through the door from these companies...
Each demanding their monies..
Debt one offered a full and final settlement of 50% of the debt (£198)!
The second Debt offered legal action!
IF they settled these would it make a huge difference as there is a unsatisified CCJ on their CR?
They are both in their late 50's, and business for them hasn't been great, so I will more than likely be helping them out, which is not a problem if it helps them sleep a little easier.
The next question
Could they barter with the settlement figure? How much could they get away with offering?
Could they turn into CCJ's?
