If you are going for a cordless keyboard and mouse, I would also advise a cheap battery charger as well. The mouse seems to go through a lot of batteries.:rotfl:0

What type of batteries do they use then..I never thought of that! This post was created in an area that may contain nuts!0 -
To be honest, my keyboard and mouse don't get through many batteries. I use the cheapy Morrisons ones and find them fine. In the long run rechargeable batteries would be cheaper, but i don't know anything about them so can't help on this one!0

tesco also sell some technika barand wireless keyboard mouse set for about 10-tener. mite be worth looking into, they also have some 256mb mp3 player by same brand @ 9.950

I had one of those technika brand keyboard/mouse granted it was wired, the mouse was utter rubbish, cheap nasty and hardly responded. We only had ita few weeks its now in loft as I decided I shouldnt of gone for cheap rubbish and bought a wireless mouse/keyboard from Argos (microsoft) for £30. You can get it cheaper for £25 online but postage costs a fiver.
We have 3 of those wireless keyboard/mouse and they are very good, batteries last months even with a lot of use. I do use rechargables though NIMh with them.
At the end of the day you get what you paid for, I think you better off with a branded one like Microsoft or Logitech.0 -
I bought the technika wireless keyboard and mouse from Tesco about 6 weeks ago and over 3 weeks used 4 sets of new batteries in the mouse! Took it back and exchanged for Microsoft wireless set and claimed money back for the used batteries.0

Seriously go for a decent brand. Logitech and Microsoft are the best. For something not to expensive because it's discontinued I'd go for the Logitech Desktop MX. Great mouse with charging cradle and great keyboard all with great range. You can find it for under £30 on ebay nowadays. What goes around - comes around
give lots and you will always recieve lots0 -

I have a logitec one and the mouse uses 2 AA batteries and the keyboard uses 4 AA batteries. The mouse seems to need new batteries every couple of weeks, but the keyboard will last for about 6 months. I was like you and never thought about batteries! Came as a bit of a shock when they went so quickly, hence the reason I bought the battery charger.:rotfl:0
