Do you take this into account? currently i work 11.75 hours a week, ive seen a job today that is between 14 and 16 hours a week 6 days a week but is 15 miles away. petrol wise thats between £ 20 and £ 25 but if i pay emergency tax due to my other jobs thats around £ 17 to £ 20 off my wage, is it worth applying? If you take away 20p per mile to run my car for example id only be £ 40-£ 50 better off than i am now which is not much considering how many hours the job would be.

Yes, you should always take it into account. I took a job once that paid £1/hr less than another one because it was a 5 mile round trip to work instead of 60 which not only saved 55 miles of fuel every day but more importantly, 2hrs of my life a day. 10hrs a week extra at home with your family is priceless in my eyes.
BTW, you don't pay emergency tax on your second job. If you are, you need to find out why.0
