Hi all,
Thought I'd share this, 1.6m wedding tree, was £45 now £17.50, bit of a bargain!
I've ordered one to use as a wishing tree rather than having a traditional guest book.

Hope that helps someone!

THANK YOU SO MUCH! But have you seen how if you type in 'wedding tree', it's still £45!! I'd much rather have a 'seasonal tree' one in that case!
Just ordered one as we're doing the same thing as you and having hanging cards rather than the traditional guest book

Right, so I've bought a tree. What exactly do I do with it? Lol. Do you hang the cards people have sent you on it? With pegs or ribbon loops? Sounds like a great idea but I'm just not sure how to go about it, thanks in advance for your tips.0

yes they are usually hung with ribbon

I've bought some luggage tags to hang on the tree, we're going to ask people to write a message on them (rather than in a guest book) and then hang their tag on the tree. We're having a love bird theme so will be lookig out for some decorations to jazz up the tree a bit. There's a poem to put with it to explain to peope what to do...
Here stands our wedding wish tree,
Though it looks a little bare,
But it would look so pretty,
With the thoughts you want to share.
So please pick up the pen and write
A joke, a note, a quote,
Then tie it to the branches
And watch the wishes float.
When the day is over
We can’t wait to have a look,
We will keep the little labels
In our ‘Wedding Wish Tree’ book.
And in the years that follow
We’ll remember on this day,
All your thoughts, and words so kind,
And in our hearts you’ll stay.0 -
That rhyme is lovely Pickle. I have never seen a wish tree at a wedding but looking at the images bubble linked and your little rhyme, it sounds like a lovely idea, can't wait to see the tree now!0

You can use your tree for anything you want. I'm having a signing frame instead of a guest book, to put up in the house, but on my tree I thought of little tags with my guest's number 1 tip to make a marriage work - i'm hoping for silly tips as well as some serious ones :rotfl:Forty and fabulous, well that's what my cards say....0 -

When your wedding cause cargo and papperchase both had similar things around christmas you might be able to pick something up in the sales otherwise could you not look in garden centres florists or dIY centres for something similar failing that cut some branches from your or a friends garden and spray paint them.:kisses3: Married 29th September 2012
