Hi Jolene and welcome to the forum,

A CCJ does indeed affect a persons ability to get credit for 6 years from the date it is applied. If settled within the 6 year period it is marked as settled or satisfied. I'm fairly sure it drops off your credit file 6 years after it has been applied and don't think creditors can see it after this time.

    Good luck

It drops off after 6 years satisfied or not.
If it's not satisfied after the 6 years, the creditor has to take it back to court to reinforce and although this does happen, it's rare.

    Are you paying this off?

If not, maybe you should consider varying the order to an instalment order, to prevent further enforcement action.
