T-Mobile Debt - Venting Frustration

Hi
A little summary on a debt payment debacle
I am attempting to clear an old T-mobile debt which is showing as a £78 default on my Call Credit report (but doesn't show on Equifax)
So after a considerable time trying to navigate automated systems I was eventually advised by the member of the sales team to call the following (see below) and then enter a generic phone number:
0845 412 5000
-- 07 0000 0000
However, bad news, I had a password on my account and the customer service representative would not speak to my further until I gave it, but wouldn't provide a security question, or hint as to what it was.
She also wouldn't accept my address, postcode or the outstanding debt amount as proof. But would accept my last bill payment amount - which I wouldn't remember from 4 years ago
I have resorted to writing a letter to them begging to pay my bill, I was informed I could not email. :rotfl:

I need to provide proof of address and identity documentation. Surely there must be a quicker way!
Anyone else had a similar situation??
Email Address I can provide scanned copies to?
Somone who recognised that there aren't many people calling up to pay strangers debts?
I can't be the only person who cancelled a contract, carried on being charged and now is trying to pay thee guys. It's the one time I want them to pass it to a DCA! :rotfl:
Anyway, vent over... any advice? And... hopefully the above number and address is of use.
