Finished the course and the rest of it was fine. Get the exam results in 3 weeks time!

Again, the course was a bit intense and you do need to do some of the homework to get used to the material covered, but with only 5 of us the sessions were quite interactive and allowed enough time for discussion.

The only thing now is that my course fee was taken out twice by Nationwide yesterday! Something else to deal with!!!
  • Some of the comments above amuse me. I myself am from The Knowledge Academy. Most comments are irrelevant and are from newbie competitors (QA & ProjStudy). Seeing as there is no proof of any of these people actually taking any of our courses, I think it would be better for people looking for reviews on The Knowledge Academy to have a look at TrustPilot. These reviews are from verified buyers which have actually taken courses.
  • 3 weeks later and I got the email from BCS about my results. Passed with 68% :-). Not sure whether I will continue with the diploma though. I will see if this has boosted my job prospects and take from there.
  • We recently used ProjStudy remote training. I really struggled with the way the training was delivered. The trainer spoke with an Indian accent and the grammar of his sentences were not straightforward English. There was a strong focus on learning a large number of sentences by wrote in order to pass the exam. I did pass, but came away having learned very little. I don't want to use them again. As far as I can tell ProjStudy are based in India and the whole operation feels like an an Indian call centre, which is not a good way to spend two days training.
  • Hi

Came across this while checking out Prince2 foundation course!

What I don’t understand is why just the trivia test cost so much? Some well know technical exams are £99 with free resit. So I can only think it’s a good money making scheme :)

“£500 for a P2 course is cheap, but still a lot of money if you dont pass the exam!!”

I think it’s still a lot of money even if you pass…..and most should with a pass rate of only 55%?So £500 is a lot if you paying for it…

I agree the value in these courses is the learning experience and not a bit of paper at the end of it. I think prince2 does have large area to cover in a very short period of time…to pass the exam…over 100 slides in one day. So what can you really learn in a few days? It’s a crammer course or exam factory. They all are!

I don’t think there is any perfect company or perfect trainer. I have been to top trainers and some have been good and some rubbish…..

I think completion good if it means cheaper price. I will be interested around the £300 mark :)
  • BCS BUSINESS PROCES MODELLING COMPLAINT March 2013: Leman Street, London:

This course was very rushed. Instead of the course being run for the suggested 14 hours as outlined by BCS standards (2 days), the tutor decided to make it under 1.5 days. I and other delegates did not feel the tutor offered full support and it appeared the tutor was more concerned about finishing early and earlier so he could start marking other exam papers.

I was not impressed how he whizzed through all the slides and on one occasion when I asked if we could go over a certain topic area, he said "NO" and that was it.

Therefore I and others did not feel we were given the full support from the tutor to gain the certificate.

I have decided to complain and the tutor has now lied and said the course finished at 4.30pm Friday and not 1.50pm. I can not believe it!!! That's strange we sat the exam at 2.20pm and it was only a 1hr exam??!!! So far I have received an insensitive and arrogant reply to my complaint from the Quality Team. However I will not be ridiculed by them and the case continues....

To my astonishment the tutor neither checked our ID or gave us feedback questionnaires to complete at the end of the course.

On top of this all, the ladies toilets were cramped, filthy and very unhygienic. They had obviously not been cleaned over the 2 days (if not more), with most of the sanitary bin overfill on the floor. Yuk. Dirty coffee cups were left overnight on desks and not cleared away.

I self-funded this course, and will never ever use this company again and have lost all faith, trust and respect for TKA. This scenario has caused me great upset, unnecessary stress and frustration.

Try some realistic mock questions here, yes some answers may be wrong too

I've done ITIL and a few others with q&a and the lecturers were always very good, but the ITIL guy was exceptional.

    Hello,

I just completed my Prince 2 Foundation and Practitioner course with Knowledge Academy. There were only about 12 people in the class, the trainer was full time, he does the course every week across the country. He was in control of the course, was very clear and good at answering questions, was patient, and I would definitely use them again.

It was classroom based training for 5 days. There wasn't a minute wasted, you get value for money.

I am looking to book a business analysis qualification with them now, because it is cheaper than everywhere else and I am happy with their service.

I must say, the Knowledge Academy are coming across to me as desperate. I've never seen such a collection of newbies, one or two post wonders posting only about this company!
Ex board guide. Signature now changed (if you know, you know).
  • Hi, for the fear of another 'newbie' posting a thread that is deemed suspicious I just wanted to reply and discuss The Knowledge Academy.

Im a PM with a degree at Leeds Met Uni in Project Management, got a decent grade (2:1) worked hard as a mature student and it helped me get a great role. However....

Prince2 is so widely known now that I decided to do it this week (Just the foundation, im self funded and also have restrictive holidays left.) It cost me £299+vat from the Knowdlege Academy, Id read all the forum about class sizes, they were 8 of us! The Trainer was without doubt the best trainer that ive ever worked under. Style, knowledge base, pitching at the right level, language, tone, he was simply outstanding.

All the other 7 students were staying for practitioner which hopefully ill go back and do. Got a brilliant score, passed with flying colours, it could not have gone smoother from the emails they send you with lots of information (be prepared there is a shed load!). Id be more than happy to speak or email anyway who doubts the validity of this or is doubtful of the Knowledge Academy. Im sure they employ not so good trainers and I probably was lucky but if you put the hard work in and study its an achieveable exam to pass.
