Pre Employment Credit Check

Ive been offered a job working for Lloyds Banking Group, subject to reference and credit checks.
What does the credit checks involve? Ive got some debt, £1500 overdraft with Lloyds TSB & £1000 credit card with Santander.
Ive got 2 direct debits, & have missed a few payments with my phonebill or credit card but have always paid it within a day or two.
Can anyone give me any advice on this? It would be much appreciated.

mainly they are looking for CCJs but late payments may be an issue depending on the job. Have you told them you have late payments? Deceit is a bigger problem than the payments themselves. I'd be sure I had checked my own report to see what was on there, then front up.Debt free 4th April 2007.
New house. Bigger mortgage. MFWB after I have my buffer cash in place.0 -
The job is telephone banking advisor, but the interviewer just asked about ccjs etc. He never mentioned late payments or direct debits, it was later on when I researched it myself I found this out.
Is there anyway I can check my own credit report or score?!0 -
Late payments can be recorded on your credit files and may flash up during a credit check as adverse information. It is a very good idea to check your credit file with Equifax and Experian before you agree to a credit check.0

Thanks everyone for your help, I used Experian! I would highly recommend it to anyone after using it.0
