Hi.
I am looking for some pointers in the direction of good agencies for driving work in the South London area.
I recently passed my Cat C licence and although my full time job does not involve any driving what so ever, my contract here does end at the end of November.
With this in mind, I am looking to try and get some angency work driving one or two weekends a month if possible to get the experience (and the extra cash woudn't go a-miss) and have this as a backup for Dec...
Can anybody suggest any good agencies around to get in touch with?
Cheers all!

You are aware that your non-driving employment counts towards working time under EU drivers hours rules and that you have to satisfy weekly rest periods meaning you cannot drive every weekend, must have 45hrs off between your last shift on the wagons and you starting on Monday morning (reduced to 24hrs once a fortnight) nor can you work on Friday for more than 7hrs if you've done 8hrs at your main job (lunch included) nor start before 3am on Saturday if you finish your main job at 6pm on Friday due to the daily rest requirements?
As for agencies, it depends entirely where you live. Even national ones like Driver Hire are franchises and there can be a massive difference between offices in different towns.0
