CCJ issued & being contsted. What happens to my credit report?

Hi all,
First time poster, long time browser!
I had a CCJ issued against me via Birmingham CC regarding a car lease that was messed up by the lessor. To cut a long story short, they failed to take the direct debit despite me telling them month after month, then didn't act until the debt was around £1,000+. They could not take a card payment for the monthly rentals!! I offered to re-do my contract to incorporate this "debt" into my monthly rental which they accpeted but continued failing to take the DD. In the end they "repossesed" the vehicle.
I was then hit with a bill which consisted of:
outstanding rentals circa £2,000
admin fees £900
Repossesion fees & general admin £600
Early termination fee £2,200
damage charge £200
congestion charge plus admin fees £50.
I agree to the £2000 outstanding rentals, I have NEVER disputed this. I am basically contesting the other charges (vehicle was collected at their request, I was telling them for months about their mistakes, no Vehicle Inspection Report was compeleted detailing damage - it was in immaculate condition whe returned & the congestion charge was dated December when I returned the vehicle in November!). I have offered to pay back the outstanding rentals on a monthly basis but have received no response.
I was out of the country with work when the court paperwork was sent so could not contest within the set time frame, so the CCJ was issued. I have since completed the N244 and paid the £80 fee. There is a court hearing set at my local court for September.
My question to you wise souls is: Does this CCJ stay on my file, or is it suspended until after the hearing in September? I have had my bank contact me wanting to reduce my overdraft facility since the CCJ was issued - that is someting that I have wanted to do anyway so it is not a major issue and I have set a simple plan up to do this - but it is a concern as they have seen this on my credit report and taken action.
Any advice would be much appreciated.
Thanks
Chris

It will stay on file until the set aside hearing.
You could add a notice of correction to your file in the meantime (although I'm not sure how much difference they really make).A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0 -
Thank you.
I thought as much which is a bit of a pain as I have to wait 2 months with this on my file! I might try and get the hearing brought forward, not sure what the chances are of that being successful.0
